It’s Awana time again at Mission Hill.
The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the church and will conclude each Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.
“We have shortened our Awana time, to get the youth home a bit earlier,” said Chuck Mayrand, Awana commander. “We ask that you bring your children by 6:15 p.m. if possible, so we can start each evening at 6:30 p.m. sharp, as we have a lot to cram into one and a half hours.
“We have singing, Bible time, a challenging game time, surprises as well as refreshments from time to time.”
Mayrand said Awana will be “a great fun filled evening.”
Awana programs are for youth age three through sixth grade.
“We have a younger class for children of the Awana leaders,” Mayrand said. “We also have a tremendous youth program for teens, under the direction of our youth pastor Josh Parson.”
Parents/guardians are invited to come as well. Church transportation is provided for residents of Palmyra.
The Awana program will run from Aug. 28 through the first week of May, subject to church functions, holidays and inclement weather.
“We invite you to send your child/children each Wednesday and join them if you can,” Mayrand said. “It will be a great evening.
