The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center invites area community members to attend its free Healthy Aging seminar on Wednesday, March 28.
This month’s topic is “Food, Movement, & You” and will be held at 10 a.m. in the Meadows within The Kroc Center, located at 405 Vermont St. in Quincy. The presenter will be Rick Thomas from Humana MarketPoint.
“This seminar will teach those in attendance how what we put in our bodies to fuel them and our exercise habits affect our moods,” said Kristy Stegeman, recreational sports & programs specialist. “Practicing proper eating habits and staying active are just a couple of things we can do to improve our attitudes.”
The “Food, Movement, and You” is the third of many monthly community enrichment seminars that are free to attend and are open to anyone, of any age, in the Quincy area communities.
Over the next few months, the Kroc Center’s Healthy Aging program will also include the following topics, “Protecting Yourself Against Scams”, April 25, “Health By The Numbers, I want to feel better than this!”, May 30, and “Are You Safe Enough?”, June 27.
