John Wood Community College recently honored certified nursing assistant (CNA) graduates from JWCC during a pinning ceremony at the Quincy campus. 

Eighteen students received their CNA pins presented by Kim Straube, Laura Mathews and Sarah Fligge, JWCC CNA instructors.

CNA day students graduating were Christopher Hartsock of Payson, Stefanie Allen, Lyndsey Austin, Alec Evans, Desiree Jones, Brianna Otten and Stephanie Steffens, all of Quincy, Stephanie McKinney of Ursa, and Amber Hudnut of Canton, Mo. 

CNA evening students graduating were Jessica Walker of Fowler, Brooke Valentine of Mendon, Stephanie Brown, Kellea Franzen, Marisa Niemeier and Tierra Stover, all of Quincy, Avery Lochman of Palmyra, Mo., and Ashli Webster of LaGrange, Mo.

CNAs provide personal assistance with a wide array of daily activities and also strive to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of those for whom they care every day.
