The Missouri Nurses Foundation (MNF) is recognizing early-career nurse innovators - nurses who have led initiatives to improve and promote the health of Missourians - with four awards, each for $500.

Registered nurses who have been in practice for seven years or less and have led or developed nurse-led initiatives to improve and promote the health of Missourians are encouraged to apply.

“The Missouri Nurses Foundation is committed to recognizing the high quality work that nurses in the early stages of their careers are demonstrating, says Nelda Godfrey, PhD, RN, Missouri Nurses Foundation president.  “What better way to encourage the important evidence-based, patient-centered work that is at the heart of all that nurses do?”

The foundation’s emphasis on the Early-Career Nurse Innovator award is one part of this organization’s three-year philanthropic focus to support nurse-led initiatives to improve and promote the health of Missourians.

Individuals and teams are eligible to apply. Deadline for applications is March 16, 2018. Awardees will be announced by May 1.

Four $500 monetary awards will be given by the foundation, along with media support from the Missouri Nurses Association.
