The Marion County Ambulance District approved a $5.6 million budget and approved the Ralls County contracts during its meeting last week.
In addition, the board learned of a new benefit being offered to employees and heard additional information on a recent call.
The total $5,363,000 budget includes funding for an additional payroll in 2020 and for the new Be Well At Work program being offered to employees.
Of that budget, $2,410,000 is for salaries, while another $282,000 is for vehicle and maintenance costs, which includes $140,000 for medical supplies.
A total of $194,215 is budgeted for capital expenses, which include vehicle and equipment replacement.
Another $1,416,785 is being budgeted for fixed expenses, which include medical insurance ($448,000); worker’s comp ($128,000); billing charges ($294,000) and lease payment ($100,585) as well as other expenses.
