The Palmyra City Council, during its regular meeting Thursday, passed a variety of ordinances pertaining to medicinal marijuana, building setbacks and the new sewage pretreatment system, all by unanimous votes.

In addition, the council set dates pertaining to the 2020 General Election, approved a lease agreement for use of antenna space on the city water tower and gave the green light to granting a request for property zoning change.

The council voted to approve two ordinances updating city law to regulate medicinal marijuana facilities, possession, cultivation and consumption, to follow recently approved state law allowing its use.
