Palmyra’s 200th birthday will be celebrated with a parade, live music, games, food and other events all day this Saturday from 7 a.m. to midnight.

The Palmyra Kiwanis Club has the honor of opening the bicentennial observance at 7 a.m. by hosting a pancake and sausage breakfast at the fire station.

It will then continue with a  parade down Main Street at 10 a.m. along with a kiddie parade.

Following the parades will be a special ceremony at the courthouse which includes speeches and the announcing of beard and ladies in period costume contest winners.
