The Palmyra Bicentennial Committee is betting an evening of fun, food and celebration will draw a crowd to Old Glory Day this Saturday, June 15.
Activities will include games for kids, petting zoo, parade, a bluegrass concert and food and crafts.
“We are very excited for the Old Glory Day celebration,” said Nancy Goellner, committee chair. “The Palmyra Chamber and Palmyra 200 committee decide to change the name for Flag Day this year to include the Palmyra Bicentennial celebration. And we decided to perk it up!
“It will be a great family fun day,” she added. “We hope to bring back that old fashioned fair feeling, so plan on bringing your lawn chair and spending the afternoon and evening celebrating Palmyra and our nations great flag.”
Events kick off with old fashioned games at Big Spring Park from 2 to 4 p.m. Those are being sponsored by the Heritage Seekers and are free to participate.
