‘On your mark...’

The newly finished all-weather track at Palmyra High School is now open for public use. Kirt Malone, R-I superintendent, said the track is available for walkers and joggers even in the mornings and evenings when the lights are on. The public is asked to enter on the new sidewalk on the north end of the track by the tennis courts and to use lanes 5-8. “Typically the inside lanes wear out faster, because there is more high school practice and racing in those lanes,” Malone said. Also, no wheeled vehicles such as bicycles, strollers or skates are allowed on the track, and animals are not allowed.
