Sesquicentennial gun donation

Mayor Loren Graham presents a commemorative Palmrya Sesquicentennial rifle to Carol Brentlinger, as a donation from the city to the Heritage Seekers, Palmyra’s historical society. The city will also auction off a Sesquicentennial shot gun to the highest bidder during Palmyra’s birthday celebration Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Sesquicentennial Building. Only a limited number of Sesquicentennial guns were made and sold for the 1969 celebration. These two guns were given to the city from the estate of Merle and Mary Sternke.
