Chris “Cuckoo” Chamberlain

Chris “Cuckoo” Chamberlain, 73, Palmyra, Mo., passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

Mrs. Chamberlain was born Feb. 18, 1946, in Quincy, to Robert  and Margaret  Hooper Sims. She was married to Raymond “Junior” Chamberlain on Nov. 25, 1967.  He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2017.

Chris is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Gene) Westcott, Hannibal, Mo.; sons, Adam Cole Chamberlain, Palmyra; Chad Aaron (Stacey) Chamberlain, Palmyra; and Adam Michael Chamberlain, Palmyra; sister, Betty Woerman (Bob), Quincy; brother, Larry Hunter (Nellie), Quincy; grandchildren, Miranda and Jeff Lyon, Doncombe, Iowa; Brittany Chamberlain, Palmyra; Bethany Chamberlain, Hanniba; Sloan A. Chamberlain, Palmyra; Alexandria Chamberlain (Dillon Cowder), Palmyra; Holden, Tanner, Chloe and Trinity Chamberlain, Palmyra; and Dillan and Logan Perrigo, New London, Mo.; and two great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lester Hunter.

Chris graduated from Quincy Senior High in 1964, She continued her education and graduated from Gem City Business College in 1995.

Professionally she was a receptionist for Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 14, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Rev. Eric Anderson will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the family, checks made payable to Chad Chamberlain or the donor’s choice.
