Dear editor,

Do you have concerns about the rising acceptance of a socialist government?  Is our current government functioning as the Founders intended?  I have concerns and have concluded that there is more I should know about our country’s history and constitution.

A quote from John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the U..S Supreme Court is very convicting: “Every member of the State ought diligently to read and to study the constitution of his country, and teach the rising generation to be free.  By knowing their rights, they will sooner perceive when they are violated, and be the better prepared to defend and assert them.”

David Hoerr and myself are hosting Constitution Alive! as an effort to educate ourselves, but also to invite other like-minded individuals in this community to join us.

We are hosting the classes at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Center in Taylor Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., beginning March 15.

Constitution Alive! is a six-week video series with Rick Green, who calls himself “America’s Constitution Coach.”

I have the desire to better understand my rights and responsibilities as a citizen, and I want to do whatever I can to preserve our constitutional heritage for future generations.  Call or text me for more information or to enroll at 573-822-2398.  There is a cost per person for the class and workbook.

Contact me prior to March 8 in order to have the workbooks available by the first class.  Please join David and I in this endeavor!
