Marion County R-II School held their back to school open house Aug. 13.

This event gave the community the opportunity to come in and see many improvements, and meet the new superintendent, Deacon Windsor.

The elementary students were able to bring in their school supplies and meet their teacher.

New students and their family had time to get familiar with the school.

Junior high and high school students were able to get their locker assignments and put their supplies in their lockers.

The school provided hot dogs and the Parent Teacher Organization brought in cookies and muffins while they served the food.

The building was filled with lots of excitement. There was a great turnout at this event.

School started Aug. 15 with a full day of classes.

Parents are encouraged to become involved in their child’s education.   Parents can get involved in their child’s education by: volunteering to be a room parent (elementary); joining PTO; joining booster club and many other ways.
