The Palmyra Chamber of Commerce will award two $500 scholarships at this year’s Palmyra R-1 High School Awards Ceremony.

One will be given to a senior who is college/university bound and another to a senior who plans to attend a technical school program.

The vo-tech scholarship was added in 2017.

“We cannot live our everyday lives without the support of individuals trained in these fields,” said the Chamber in a statement. “Technical school graduates are a very important part of our local economy, as they bring hands on expertise back to our community.”

Each scholarship has a separate application tailored to a student’s chosen path.

Both applications are available to students through Kendra Tiemann, Palmyra High School Counselor.

They can also be found on the Palmyra Chamber website, showmepalmyra.com/chamber.

The deadline to apply is April 5.
