The PHS girls track and field team took fourth place out of 18 teams at the Montgomery County Invitational last Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers scored 70 points to finish behind only Montgomery County (150.5), Fatima (93) and North Callaway (78.5).
“Individually we had a lot of personal records set by the girls and a lot of season bests as well,” said Coach Nicholas Koetters.
Reagan Lehenbauer was one second off her personal record in the 400 meters and took fourth place.
Lauren Reid and Lydia Szarka teamed up to run season bests in the 3,200 meters, going sixth and seventh.
“We had to have a makeshift 4 x 100 meter relay team, but it still worked out well, as they ran almost a season best and took second place,” Koetters said.
“Overall I was very happy with how the girls performed,” Keotters said. “We have a lot of young girls on the team, and we are seeing steady improvement as we go through the season.
