The PHS boys and girls basketball teams will have the second seeds in the Class 3, District 13 Tournament to be held in Palmyra Feb. 24-29.

The Panthers will open district play at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, against seventh seeded Missouri Military Academy, while the Lady Panthers will taken on seventh-seeded Centralia at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24.

The boys winnner will advance to semifinal action at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, against the winner of Tuesday’s quarterfinal between third-seeded Centralia and sixth-seeded Highland.

The other two boys quarterfinals Feb. 25 feature top-seeded Monroe City against eighth-seeded Macon, and fourth-seeded Clark County against fifth-seeded Hallsville.

The boys championship game is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29.

If the Lady Panthers win their first game, they will advance to the semifinals Feb. 26 and play at 7:30 p.m. against the winner of Monday’s quarterfinal between third-seeded Clark County and sixth-seeded Highland.

Top-seeded Macon received a first-round bye, while fourth-seeded Monroe City plays fifth-seeded Hallsville in the other quarterfinal game.

The girls championship game is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29.
