The PHS varsity boys golf team continued their stellar golf play by taking second place at the Class 2 District 7 meet Monday at Kirksville. 

“I’m really proud of all the guys today as they took second as a team and advanced to sectionals (Monday) at Green Hills in Chillicothe,” said Coach Marty Smyser. 

“They battled some early wet and cold conditions and turned in some very good scores,” he said. “All five golfers were All-District.”

The Palmyra varsity team played at Kirksville Country Club Monday in the Class 2 District 7 meet and took second place with a 348. Centralia took first place with a final score of 337. 

Other teams that competed were South Harrison, Macon, Clark County, Highland, Monroe City, Brookfield and Carrolton. 

Competing on varsity were Brady Shively, 85, Ragar McKinney and Brock Bollin, 87, Jacob Webster, 89, and Mason Burch, 90.
