PHS track and field athletes earned medals in five events, including Jarom Alexander, who brought home four medals from the MSHSAA Class 3 championships in Columbia Saturday.

Meanwhile, none of the three PHS girls earned medals.

The state meet was held at Mizzou all day Saturday when the scheduled two-day event had to be moved after a tornado hit Jefferson City, the site of the meet.

Alexander placed fifth in the 100 meters, seven in the 200 meters eighth in the 400 meters and was also a member of the second place 4 x 400 meter relay team, along with Tucker Aeschliman, Abe Haerr and Brett Griesbaum.

Also earning a medal by finishing in the top eight was the fifth place 4 x 800 meter relay team of Haerr, Mason Roberts, Aeschliman and Griesbaum.
