The PHS boys track and field team took third place out of eight teams at the Clarence Cannon Conference Championship at Centralia last Monday.

The Panthers scored 114 points and only trailed Centralia (159) and Monroe City (136). 

Scoring points for Palmyra were:

Brett Griesbaum, first place in the 800 meters and first place in the 1600 meters;

Jarom Alexander, first place in the 200 meters, second place in 100 meter, second place in 400 meters and sixth place in high jump;

the first place 4 x 800 meter relay team;

Abe Haerr, second place in the 800 meters and second place in the high jump;

Dylan Redd, second place in pole vault;

the third place 4 x 400 meter relay team;

Tristen Gottman, fourth place in the triple jump and sixth place in javelin;

Tucker Aeschliman, fourth place in the 400 meters;

the sixth place 4 x 100 meter relay team;

the sixth place 4 x 200 meter relay team;

Dylan Epperson, seventh place in the 110 meter hurdles and eighth place in the 300 meter hurdles;

Weston King, seventh place in discus; and

Connor Roberts, seventh place in pole vault.

Also competing at the meet were Clark County, Brookfield, Macon, South Shelby and Highland.
