The PHS girls cross country team won its home meet for the first time Saturday.

The Lady Panthers scored 46 points to place ahead of Monroe City (53), Kirksville (62), Marion County (75) and Highland (104).

Meanwhile, a short-handed boys team finished sixth with 126 points behind Kirksville (23), Hannibal (54), Clark County (93), Highland (102), and Winfield (122).

“It was a great day for the girls,” said Coach Nicholas Koetters in noting the team’s first win during the fifth annual event.
