Spectator has new website

The Palmyra Spectator’s website has a new look with different features including an e-edition.

Palmyra and Marion County have a newly improved local source for information at www.palmyra-spectator. com.

“The news business continues to change, and we have to meet our readers wherever they are, in print, or on whatever device they use,” said Mike Scott, publisher of the Palmyra Spectator and NEMOnews Media Group. “As NEMOnews Media Group has grown, we need to grow with it, and continue to improve how we deliver news in each of our communities.”

“This week, we’ve launched a newly redesigned websites for the Palmyra Spectator, which will focus on Palmyra and Marion County news,” Scott continued.

The website features an entire e-edition of the newspaper for readers, as well as news, sports and obituaries, and an online photo gallery. For a limited time, all the news content on palmyra-spectator.com will be available for free. Eventually, the e-edition and some other news content will be available to subscribers only.

“We want to give everyone the chance to take a look at everything we do,” Scott said. “We’d like you to become a subscriber, and you can do that right online. And you can be the first to know what’s going on in the community by signing up for breaking news alerts.”

“We invite readers to use the new community events calendar, and churches can post and update their service information,” he continued.

Looking for a good crossword puzzle? The website has one for you, updated daily. Need to check the weather forecast? It has that, too.

If you’re looking to advertise your business or event, we can help with that, too. Just contact us and let us know what you need, and we’ll take it from there.

“We’re in business to serve our communities, and we want to be your neighborhood news source in Marion County and around northeast Missouri,” Scott said.
