Karen E. Taylor
Karen E. Taylor, 79, Palmyra, Mo., passed away at 2:59 p.m., Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra.
Karen was born Jan. 13, 1941, in Hannibal, Mo., to Herbert C. and Geraldine McPike Disselhorst.

Survivors include her brother, Howard Disselhorst (Bev Cook); niece and nephew, Jennifer (Craig) Buckman and Dunstan (Chaney) Disselhorst, great-nieces and great-nephews, Cody (Gabrielle) Buckman, Hunter Buckman, Adelia Buckman, Kiley Buckman, Kennedy Buckman and Barrett and Anson Disselhorst; great-great-niece, Genevieve Buckman; and great-great-nephew, Elias Buckman.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Margaret Disselhorst; and nephew, Timothy Disselhorst.
Karen was a teller for the Palmyra Savings and Loan and worked as a secretary.
She liked to shop and especially loved to travel via bus tours. Karen liked to read and to watch Dancing with the Stars and Hallmark movies. She enjoyed being around her family and taking pictures with her disposable camera.
She was loved and will be missed by her family.
Friends and family are invited to Karen’s life celebration at a visitation that will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 22, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra.
A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 22, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel. Pastor Dewayne Larenson will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra.
Pallbearers will be Barrett Disselhorst, Anson Disselhorst, Cody Buckman, Hunter Buckman, Dunstan Disselhorst, Craig Buckman, Rick Disselhorst and Kris Graupman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adelia Buckman, Kennedy Buckman, Kiley Buckman, Jennifer Buckman and Chaney Disselhorst.
Memorials may be made to Community Loving Care Hospice or donor’s choice.
