Filing under way for April 6 elections
Filing is now under way for April 6 elections, but has only been limited so far, with no races formed as of Monday.
In Palmyra, Rusty Adrian has filed to run for mayor, the position currently filled by Loren Graham.
The only council filings so far are Brock Fahy, the uncumbent in Ward 1 and Andrew Salsman in Ward 2. Nobody has filed to run in Ward 3 so far.
Two have filed for the two available seats on the Palmyra R-I School Board, including Darin Redd, an incumbent, and Andrew Lehenbauer.
Nobody had filed as of Monday for the two available school board seats in the Marion County R-II School District.
Two candidates have filed to run for the Palmyra Fire Protection District Board including incumbents Alan Browning and Darin Heimer.
Filing is also under way for Marion County Ambulance District, Marion County Nursing Home District and Marion County Emergency Services boards.
The filing period began Dec. 15 and runs through Jan. 19.
