James Omar McLeod, 48, Palmyra, Mo., passed away at 2:02 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, in Philadelphia, Mo.

James was born May 11, 1972, in Hannibal, Mo., to James Michael McLeod and Cynthia Mae Copenhaver Holm.
Survivors include his parents; daughter, Christian McLeod; sons, James McLeod, and Jerid McLeod; and sisters, Lisa Thomas, Stacy McKinney, Jodi McLeod and Amber McLeod.
James was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Buckwalter.
Professionally James was a Jack of all trades with a focus in construction and landscaping. His artistic nature carried over into his hobbies as he enjoyed gardening and music. He liked collecting Zippo lighters and knives.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 26, at the columbarium at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Marty Smyser will officiate.
Friends and family are invited to James’s life celebration at a visitation that will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Feb. 26, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra.
