PHS boys golfers win two triangulars
The PHS varsity boys golf team placed first at two road triangular meets last week.
The Panthers opened the week with a win at the Three Pines course hosted by Highland.
Palmyra shot a 179 to beat Highland, 199, and Scotland County, 228.
Jacob Webster and Elijah Edwards took medalists honors as both shot the low score of 43.
Also playing for Palmyra were Brady Shively, 46, Laydin Lochman, 47, and Aaron Richey, 55.
The junior varsity squad actually carded the third-best score of 205.
Playing were Dreighton Sprinkle, 45, Patrick Bailey, 51, Augustus Meyer, 54, Brett Tuter, 55, and Jimmy Scott, 58.
The next day, the Panthers won at the Mosswood Course by carding a 163 to beat Highland, 199, and Monroe City, 201.
Webster and Shively led all golfers with rounds of 37 and 40 respectively.
Also playing were Lochman, 41, Edwards, 45, and Ritchey, 49.
The JV squad 231 with Kamren Crane, 54, Ethan Redd, 55, Jeremiah Edwards, 60, Bronson Juette, 62, and Brice Otte, 63 playing.
