Palmyra’s ace pitcher, Bennett Stice, earned all-state honors courtesy of the state’s baseball coaches.

Stice, a senior right-hander, was honored as a second team class 3 all-state pitcher by the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Stice dominated en route to a  7-1 record on the season with a 0.64 earned run average, striking out 113 in 54.2 innings pitched while walking 22 and giving up just 22 hits. He allowed only five earned runs all season.

He also helped himself and the team out at the plate, batting .347 with two doubles and a triple.
