Palmyra received some heavy rain Saturday morning, but it moved out as the Marion County Fair began with the traditional parade down Main Street.
The parade was shorter than usual due to the rain during set up, but it didn’t bother the events that followed, including the Marion County Fair Queen pageant that afternoon. At right, Olivia Lehenbauer reacts at being crowned this year’s queen by the outgoing queen, Christa Dowil.
The Tate Shade Memorial Bull Bash that evening was a little muddy, but it still drew a large crowd in the arena.
