Mathew Steven Parsons, 32, Cochran, Ga., died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, at his residence.
He as born March 31, 1989, in Macon, Ga., to Steven and Vicky Parsons, Cochran.
Survivors include his parents; sister, Melissa (Michael) Bryant, Eatonton, Ga.; brother, Jeremy Keene, Forsythe, Ga.; paternal grandma, Mary E. Parsons, Palmyra; uncles and cousins, Kevin, Edward and Chase Parsons, Troy; several nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Christy Hickman Noles; maternal grandparents, Harmon and Adrienne Jowers; and paternal grandpa, Al Parsons.
Matthew had lived all his life in Cochran. He was a 2007 graduate of Bleckley County High School and was employed as a semi truck driver for DOT Foods, a place he truly enjoyed working.
He was a member of Limestone Baptist Church in rural Cochran, and a member of the Cochran Masonic Lodge #217, F&AM.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 7, in Limestone Baptist church with Masonic Rites. Private burial was in the church cemetery.
The family greeted friends afterwards in the church.
