Betty L. Bross
Betty L. Bross, 88, Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 7:29 a.m., Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at her home in Hannibal.
Betty was born Feb. 12, 1933, in Palmyra, Mo., to Gerald F. and Lucile Muldrow Losson. She was married to John Bross on Dec. 6, 1955, at the United Methodist Church in Palmyra.

Survivors include John Bross, her husband of 65 years; children, Kent Bross (Marcia), Kelly Day (Mike), Kirk Bross (Ann), Kim Bunten (Steve), and Kerry Bross (Monica); grandchildren, Katie Green (Tony), Sarah Taylor (Ryan), Douglas Bross, Jennifer Bergmann (Florian), Josh Day, Nicole Day, Nicholas Day, Mark Bunten (Andrea), Lauren Huggins (Ryan), John Bunten (Elizabeth), Jacob Bross, Alex Bross, and Gracie Bross; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bill Losson, Gerald Losson and Jim Losson; and one sister, Sarah Ann Meyers.
Betty was a lawyer’s secretary for six years early in life and then spent the rest of her life taking care of her kids and managing her home.
She loved to work in her vegetable garden and on her quilting. She was very accomplished in the kitchen, baking her family all kinds of pies, cookies and desserts. She loved to travel and spend time with her kids, grandchildren, and now great-grandchildren. She especially looked forward to the annual family trip to Branson right after Christmas.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra. Pastor Eric Anderson will officiate.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Community Loving Care Hospice, United Methodist Church or donor’s choice.
