Nathan Scott Bailey

Nathan Scott Bailey, 28, Philadelphia, Mo., passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, in Quincy, Ill.

Nathan was born Sept. 15, 1992, in Hannibal, Mo., to Jeffrey Bailey and Camilla G. Holmes.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Jeffrey Bailey (Terry), Philadelphia; grandparents, Duane and Janet Bailey, Charlie and Karen Stine and Paul and Sandi Holmes; one son, Tristen Phillips; four brothers, Garret Chinn, Rylan Reeves, Chris Wilhelm, and Josh Wilhelm; and one sister, Britney Bowers.

Nathan’s favorite thing was to play his guitar in the band Despised Morning in Quincy.He enjoyed computer games, hunting, fishing, and working on cars when he wasn’t playing in the band or working. 

Nathan also loved to help out on the family farm whenever he could. When work was over, he loved to spend time relaxing with his cat “Midnight”.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, at the First Presbyterian Church in Palmyra, Mo. Pastor DeWayne Larenson will officiate. 

Memorials may be made to the family, payable to Jeffrey Bailey to help cover funeral expenses.
