PHS girls golf team competes at Mexico, Moberly, Jeff City

The PHS girls golf team was busy this past week with matches at Mexico, Moberly and Jefferson City.
The Lady Panthers ended the week’s action by finished second at a four-team match hosted by Mexico Thursday.
Palmyra carded a 197 to finished behind Southern Boone, 185, but ahead of Harrisburg, 231, and the host team which didn’t record a team score.
Maddie Jawad placed fourth overall with a 46 and Mallory Sublette, fifth, with a 47, to lead the team.
Also scoring were Mallory Comstock, 49, and Ella Goldinger, 55.
The Lady Panthers took second in a four-team meet hosted by Moberly, Tuesday.
Palmyra carded a 209 to finish 15 strokes behind Kirksville, but 24 ahead of Moberly. Columbia Battle didn’t record a team score.
Sublette and Comstock tied for third overall with 51s. Jawad shot a 52 and Goldinger a 55.
Palmyra also finished second in a four-team meet hosted by Jefferson City Helias at the Jefferson City Country Club Monday.
The Lady Panthers carded a 221 to finish 31 strokes behind the host team and 22 back of Capital City. Mexico didn’t record a team score.
Scoring for Palmyra were Comstock, 51, Jawad, 53, Sublette, 56, and Goldinger, 61.
This week, the Lady Panthers were scheduled to travel to Wright City, Tuesday, compete in the Paris Tournament, Wednesday, and travel to QHS, Thursday and Boonville, Friday.
