The PHS cross country teams finished the regular season by competing in the Tom Oakley Invitational meet in Quincy, Ill. Saturday.
The boys team finished seventh behind first-place Hamilton-West Hancock, Quincy High School, Burlington, Ill., Liberty, Ill., Quincy Notre Dame and Marion County.
Running for Palmyra were Caleb Juette, 28th, 19:32; Connor Bross, 36th, 20:14; Dakota Snyder, 37th, 20:16; Ji Yong Ni, 51st, 21:34; Talon Markley, 62nd, 22:23; Jackson Janes, 72nd, 24:30; Brayden Stevens, 74th, 25:06; and Owen Mason Kiefaber, 79th, 28:22.
The girls team did not qualify for team standings.
Tiffany Neff finished 36th in a time of 29:36.
Palmyra will compete in the Class 3, District 3 meet in Linn Oct. 30 along with Blair Oaks, Bowling Green, Centralia, Father Tolton Regional Catholic, Fatima, Fulton, Hallsville, MICDS, Montgomery County, Normandy Collaborative, North Callaway, Orchard Farm, Owensville, Priory, Southern Boone, St. Charles West, St. Clair, STEAM Academy at McCluer South-Berkeley, Whitfield, Winfield and Wright City.
The Class 3 state meet will be held at Gans Creek in Columbia, Nov. 5.
