Filing dates for the upcoming school board election, to be held April 5, 2022, were set by the Marion County R-II Board of Education during their recent meeting.
Filing will begin on Dec. 7 and will end on Dec. 28.
The positions held by Beau Britt and Julie Straus will be up for election.
In other business, the board accepted the bid from BK Concrete to complete Phase 3 of the parking lot renovations.
According to Superintendent Jason Keilholz, work will include the removal of the existing asphalt and replacing it with reinforced concrete.
In addition, sealing and striping will be done.
Updates and renovations of the FFA Greenhouse were discussed with the board deciding the Greenhouse class will do the upgrades, Keilholz said.
Those will include replacing the fan motor, running some new water lines and replacing doors.
Keilholz noted the December board meeting has been rescheduled to Dec. 15 due to the Monroe City Basketball Tournament the week of Dec. 8.
