Paul G. Lehenbauer, 79, Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
Paul was born Feb. 25, 1942, in Hannibal, to Paul G. and Lena C. Scheips Lehenbauer. He was married to Mary Tuley on Aug. 16, 1964, at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church in Taylor, Mo.

Paul G. Lehenbauer, 79, Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
Paul was born Feb. 25, 1942, in Hannibal, to Paul G. and Lena C. Scheips Lehenbauer. He was married to Mary Tuley on Aug. 16, 1964, at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church in Taylor, Mo.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary M. Tuley Lehenbauer; his children, Angela Keener (Brad), Centerton, Ark.; Todd Lehenbauer, Palmyra, Mo.; and Dr. Chad Lehenbauer (Dr. Angela), Palmyra; grandchildren, Hannah Keener, Bentonville, Ark.; Noah Keener, Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Knoster, Mo.; Rebekah Farris (Caleb), Bella Vista, Ark.; Jonah Keener, Centerton;, Reagan Lehenbauer, Palmyra; Daniel Lehenbauer, Hannibal; Corder Lehenbauer, Palmyra; Brody Lehenbauer, Palmyra; Rett Lehenbauer, Hannibal; and Aiden Lehenbauer, Hannibal; sister, Carolyn Lehenbauer, Denver, Colo.; nieces and nephews, Linda Rundle (Tom), Menomonie, Wisc.; Sharon Webster (Charles), Palmyra; Sandra Smith and Mike Smith (Reese), all of Denver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Dorothy Meyer, Florence Frost and Helen Virginia Smith; and three brothers-in-law, Earl Meyer, Max Frost and Dr. Gerald Smith.
Paul was a 1960 graduate of Palmyra High School. He worked in sales at Brown’s Furniture and was a manager for the Farmers Coop in Palmyra until his retirement in 2008. During retirement he drove a school bus for the Palmyra School District for 10 years.
As a life-long farmer in Marion County, he truly enjoyed his time on the farm, taking care of his yard and his pets. He looked forward to his therapy sessions at Rock Steady Boxing in Monroe City.
He was a lifetime St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan and a huge Palmyra sports fan. Paul treasured his time traveling with his wife and family, especially to Hawaii, Alaska and Europe.
A family man, Paul could often be found at his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, cheering them on in the sports they loved.
Paul served as a board member for both Luther Manor and Zion Lutheran Church as well as a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent and deacon for the church. He was a past president of the Palmyra High School Booster Club.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Ely, Mo. Rev. Scott Salo will officiate. Burial will follow at West Ely Cemetery in West Ely.
Pallbearers will be Noah Keener, Jonah Keener, Daniel Lehenbauer, Corder Lehenbauer, Brody Lehenbauer and Caleb Farris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hannah Keener, Rebekah Farris, and Reagan Lehenbauer, Rett Lehenbauer, and Aiden Lehenbauer.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra.
Memorials may be made to Rock Steady Boxing (Parkinson’s therapy) or St. Jude Hospital.
