As of Monday, they had no competition.
The Palmyra R-I School District has two candidates filed to run for the two available school board positions, both incumbents, Roth McElvain and Joe Knochel.
No candidates had filed yet for two available positions on the Marion County R-II Board of Education currently held by Beau Britt and Julie Straus.
The deadline for filing to run in the April 5 election was Dec. 28.
