The PHS wrestling teams competed last week in a Clarence Cannon Conference quad meet and a tri-meet hosted by Marceline.
The Panthers were also scheduled to compete in the Vianney Tournament in St. Louis Saturday, but it was canceled.
Palmyra went 1-2 at the CCC quad meet at Brookfield, Thursday, losing to Centralia and the host team, while defeating Macon.
The Panthers went 3-2 in actual matches in a 34-29 win over Macon.
Winning matches were:
Jose Juarez (195), by fall at 1:24 over Landon Wells;
Brayden Pillars (132) by fall at 0:49 over Connor O’Hara; and
Luke Lawson (106) by a 15-4 major decision over Tanner Still.
Ashton Hankins (160) lost by fall at 5:26 to Isaac Kauffman, and Jayden Sharrow lost by technical fall, 20-5, at 5:41 to Lucas Bramer.
Luke Triplett earned the lone victory for Palmyra in a 74-6 loss to Centralia.
Triplett (220) won by fall at 1:38 over Payton Mabrey, while Lawson (106), Audrain McElvain (120), Evan Pennewell (126), Pillars (132), Hankins (160), Sharrow (170) and Juarez (195) all lost their matches.
The Panthers went 3-5 in actual matches in a 57-21 loss to Brookfield.
Winning their matches were:
Triplett (220) by fall at 0:26 over Chase Jurkofsky;
Juarez (195) by fall at 3:14 over Cordray Baker; and
Lawson (106) 4-2 over Klayton Doss.
Audrain (120), Pennewell (126), Pillars (132), Hankins (160) and Sharrow (170) all lost their matches.
The Panthers went 0-2 at a tri-meet at Marceline, Tuesday.
Palmyra went 3-6 in actual matches in a 50-16 loss to the host team.
Winning their matches were:
McElvain (120) by fall at 5:18 over Slade McCauslin;
Pillars (132) by a 3-1 decision over Cole Griffin; and
Triplett (220) by fall at 2:31 over Trentin Goosey.
Lawson (106), Pennewell (126), Hankins (160), Sharrow (170) and Juarez (195) all lost their matches.
Palmyra went 2-6 in actual matches in a 71-12 loss to Mid-Buchanan.
Winning their matches were:
Pillars (132) by fall at 0:54 over Wyatt Cunningham; and
Triplett (220) won by fall at 2:38 over Owen Stockbauer.
Lawson (106) McElvain (120), Pennewell (126), Hankins (160), Sharrow (170) and Juarez (195) all lost their matches.
The Lady Panthers also competed albeit on a limited basis.
At Marceline, Tuesday, Anna Ragar (120) lost the only matches against Gracey Jordan of Marceline and Haley Sampson of Mid-Buchanan.
At the CCC quad meet at Brookfield, Grace Fessenden (235) loss the only match against Brooklyn Gooding of Macon.
