Ronnie K Meyer, 57, Palmyra, Mo., passed away at 8:03 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at Windsor Estates of St. Charles in St. Charles, Mo.

He was born June 12, 1964, in Columbia, Mo., to Andrew and Carolyn Miller Meyer. Ronnie was raised by his aunt and uncle, Bill and Louise Miller, from infancy. He was married to Joyce Smith Meyer on May 19, 1991, at Providence Baptist Church in Withers Mill, Mo. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughter, April Hess (JR) and special son, Jarrod Spurgeon and family; grandchildren, Serenity Forbes and Jacolby Hess; brothers, Jeff Miller (Fay), Doren Miller (Lynn), twin brother, Lonnie Meyer. and Andrew Meyer (Diane); sisters, Joy Miller, Catherine Linzie, Janice Dudley, Sharon Caldwell (Bruce), Wanda Meredith (Rusty), Barbara Calvin (JC), Carol Burdick and Teresa Knoll (Joe); and sister-in-law, Janice Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents; aunt and uncle, Bill and Louise Miller; and brother, Jim Miller.

Ronnie worked for C&R Supermarket in Palmyra, serving in many different positions for almost 23 years. 

Ronnie loved his family as they were absolutely his life. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially having quiet time at the lake in Flower City Park. He loved to fish whenever the opportunity arose. If you live in Palmyra, chances are that you knew Ronnie, He was always out and about town, helping wherever he was needed. 

He was a strong Christian man who valued being around his church family in any capacity he could. Ronnie served the church in many ways from painting, cleaning, mowing grass, snow removal or just about anything that needed to be done. Ronnie was a servant at heart and loved to serve anyone who may have a need.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 17, at Cornerstone Church of Marion in Palmyra. Pastor Marty Smyser and Pastor Rick Chapman will officiate. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Withers Mill.

Pallbearers will be Loran Miller, Brandon Miller, Austin Miller, Ethan Miller, Ben Miller and Peary Rice.

Honorary pallbearers will be Doren Miller, Jeff Miller, Andrew Meyer, Lonnie Meyer, Randy Smith and Dale Smith.

Friends and family are invited to Ronnie’s life celebration at a visitation that will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at Cornerstone Church of Marion in Palmyra,.

Memorials may be made to Joyce Meyer to help with medical and funeral expenses.
