The PHS wrestling teams competed at Moberly, Hannibal and Quincy, Ill. last week.

The Panthers placed 10th out of 11 teams at the Quincy HS Invitational Saturday.

Placing in the top 10 for Palmyra were: Nolyn Richards (285 pounds), fourth place; Audrin McElvain (120), fourth place; Jose Juarez (195) sixth place; Luke Triplett (220) seventh place; Luke Lawson (106) eighth place; Brayden Pillars (123) eighth place; Collin Arch (138) eighth place; Ashton Hankins (152) eighth place; and Jayden Sharrow (170), eighth place.

Palmyra went 1-1 during a tri-meet at Moberly Tuesday, defeating Boonville while falling to the host team.

The Panthers went 5-1 in actual matches in a 48-24 win over the Pirates.

Winning matches were:

Lawson (106) by fall at 1:03 over Ryan Weaver;

Arch (145) by fall at 0:44 over Chase Amos;

Hankins (160) by fall at 0:30 over Jacob Thoma;

Sharrow (170) by fall at 1:16 over Gage Hodges; and

Triplett (220) by fall at 1:23 over Ryder Comegys.

Juarez (195) lost by fall at 2:35 to Travis Dell.

Palmyra went 4-5 in actual matches in a 51-22 loss to Moberly.

Winning matches were:

Arch (145) by a14-0 major decision over Dakotah Courtney;

Sharrow (170) by fall at 1:37 over Macon Taylor;

Juarez (195) by fall at 1:36 over Brady Riley; and

Triplett (220) by fall at 3:12 over Beau Garrett.

Losing matches were Lawson (106), McElvain (113), Evan Pennewell (126), Brayden Pillars (138) and Hankins (160).

The Panthers traveled to Hannibal for a dual meet Monday and lost 59-9.

Arch and Triplett contributed the only points for Palmyra.

Arch (145) won by fall at 1:14 over Koen Romage.

Triplett (220) won a 5-0 decision over Brady Zimmerman.

Losing their matches were Lawson (106), McElvain (120), Pennewell (126), Pillars (138), Sharrow (170) and Juarez (195).
