With the North Shelby Tournament getting cancelled, the Marion County R-II varsity girls basketball team played two substitute home games and went 1-1, downing Knox County and falling to Schuyler County.
The Lady Mustangs saw their seven game winning streak end with a 57-38 loss to Schuyler County, Friday.
Marion County fell behind early as Schuyler County went on a 21-9 run to start the game and trailed by 15 going into the second half.
Scoring for Marion County were Halle Keilholz, 12, Riley Donath, 11, Delaney Straus, five, Olivia Wood, three, Tristen Holt, three, Madison Stewart, two, and Grace Jensen Page, two.
Marion County opened the week with a 59-25 win over Knox County, Wednesday.
The Lady Mustangs got out to a 13-5 lead and went into halftime up by 13 before putting the game away with a 21-5 third-quarter run.
Scoring for Marion County were Straus, 13, Donath, 12, Keilholz, 11, Stewart, nine, Wood, seven, , Samantha Kindhart, three, Karissa Kennedy, two, and Riley Holt, two.
This week, the Lady Mustangs are scheduled to travel to Atlanta, Tuesday, and Mark Twain, Friday.
