Deadline nears for registering to vote in April election

Marion County Clerk Valerie Dornberger has announced the last day that a person may register as a new voter, and be eligible to vote at the April 5, 2022, General Municipal Election is Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 5 p.m.
Persons who have not registered prior to that deadline, cannot, by law, vote in the election.
Anyone who will be 18 years of age by April 5, 2022, may register prior to the deadline. Also, any voter who has moved from another county into Marion County must re-register to vote in order to vote in Marion County elections.
Marion County 4esidents may register at the following locations:
• Collector’s office, Hannibal Courthouse, 906 Broadway;
• County Clerk’s office, Palmyra Courthouse, 100 South Main St.; or
• City Hall, Monroe City, 109 2nd St.
