The PHS varsity girls and boys basketball teams both received second seeds in the Class 3, District 6 Tournament in Monroe City the week of Feb. 21-26.
The Panthers received a first-round bye and will play in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, against the winner of Tuesday’s quarterfinal game between third-seeded Highland and sixth-seeded Clark County.
The winner will advance to the championship game set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26.
The winner of the other quarterfinal game Feb. 22 between fourth-seeded South Shelby and fifth-seeded Mark Twain, will advance to the semifinals and play top-seeded Monroe City Feb. 24.
The Lady Panthers also received a first-round bye and will play in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, against the winner of Monday’s quarterfinal between third-seeded Highland and sixth-seeded Clark County.
The winner will advance to the championship game set for 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25.
The winner of the other quarterfinal game Feb. 21, between fourth-seeded Mark Twain and fifth-seeded Monroe City will advance to the semifinals and play Wednesday against top-seeded South Shelby.
