The Marion County R-II boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Clark County Invitational last Tuesday.
The girls team placed sixth out of 11 teams.
Scoring for the girls team were:
Delaney Straus, first place in the triple jump at 10.74 meters; second place in the 400 meters at 1:06.77 and third place in the 1,600 meters at 5:51.87;
Halle Keilholz, fourth place in the 100 meter hurdles at 18.33 and seventh place in the javelin at 26.90 meters;
the fifth place 4 x 100 meter mixed throwers relay team of Andrew Gerding, Samantha Kindhart, James Walker and Shayleigh Whetstone at 1:00.63; and
Kindhart, sixth place in the discus at 24.55 meters and sixth place in the shot put at 8.58 meters.
Scoring for the boys team were:
the sixth place 4 x 800 meter relay team of Levi Wright, Porter Brit, Rheo Schluckebier and Nick Kelso at 9:57.22; and
Brit, 10th place in the 1,600 meters at 5:29.08.
