The PHS boys golf team was in action last week at Shelbina and Kahoka.
The Panthers placed fourth out of seven teams at the South Shelby Invitational at the Shelbina Lakeside Golf Course Thursday.
Palmyra shot a 371 to finish behind South Shelby, 322, Monroe City, 361, and Milan, 361, but ahead of Canton, 404, Highland, 420, and the Macon junior varsity squad, 443.
Scoring for Palmyra were Laydin Lochman, 85, Jonas Janes, 91, Brett Tuter, 96, Aaron Ritchey, 99, and Dreighton Sprinkle, 110.
The Panthers outplayed Clark County and Highland at Kakoka last Tuesday.
Palmyra shot a 176 to win by 33 stokes over both teams.
Palmyra’s Janes shot a career-best 38 to lead all golfers.
Also scoring for Palmyra were Lochman, 42, Tuter, 47, Ritchey, 49, and Jeremiah Edwards, 52.
