The PHS girls track and field team earned an impressive team win at the Becky Thatcher Relays in Hannibal Friday.

The Lady Panthers scored 125 points to easily outdistance second place Bowling Green by 45 points and outperform 11 other schools including Hannibal, 72, Ft. Zumwalt South, 59, Quincy Senior High, 49.66, Liberty (Ill.), 15 and Mark Twain, 11.

Palmyra placed first in seven events, including a sweep of all four relays.
Placing in the top six for Palmyra were:
Jansen Juette, first place in the triple jump at 33 feet, 6.75 inches and fourth place in the 100 meters at 13.31;
Laurin Sheputis, first place in the 800 meters at 2:30.84;
Abbey Redd, first place in the pole vault at 11 feet;
the first place 4 x 100 meter relay team of Redd, Alaina Loman, Bella McBride and Tatum White at 52.41;
the first place 4 x 200 meter relay team of Redd, Mallory Sublette, Sydney Compton and White at 1:49.55;

the first place 4 x 400 meter relay team of Sheputis, Loman, Jaynee Durst and White at 4:23.18;
the first place 4 x 800 meter relay team of Jeorgia O’Brien, Aly Noland, Loman and Sheputis at 10:32.00;
Candra King, second place in the shot put at 36 feet, 11.75 inches and third place in the discus at 100 feet, 3.50 inches;
Loman, second place in the pole vault at 10 feet and first place in the 400 meters at 1:06.02;
Chloe Hicks, third place in the high jump at four feet, 9.75 inches;
Sublette, third place in the triple jump at 32 feet, nine inches;
White, third place in the 200 meters at 27.64;
Durst, fourth place in the javelin at 91 feet, 11.50 inches;
O’Brien, fifth place in the 1,600 meters at 6:10.52; and
Compton, fifth place in the 100 meter hurdles at 17.46.
