The PHS varsity baseball team helped their coach reach a milestone with an 11-1 home win over Highland Saturday evening.

Palmyra’s Brayden Pillars dives back into second base safely on a pickoff attempt by Highland Saturday.
The victory not only completed the Panthers’ effort to reach the .500 mark it represented Coach Mark Loman his 300th career coaching victory.
Despite the day providing the best weather this season, Loman still got wet as his players gave him a post-game water cooler shower.

Adam Goodwin gets the bat on the ball during action against Highland Saturday.
The Panthers (9-9-1) took all the drama out of the contest by scoring a run in the first and four more in the
second, while getting solid pitching from their starter, Adam Goodwin.
Palmyra added two more runs in the fourth before the Cougars finally got on the scoreboard with their lone run in the fifth.
Goodwin then had the honor of ending the game with a walk-off single to cap a four-run, game-ending rally in the fifth.
Palmyra out-hit Highland 11-4 with Goodwin going 4-for-4 and Rayce Ragar, 3-for-4, leading the way.
Goodwin pitched four and a third innings to earn the mound victory before giving way to Alex Loman, who got the last out.
