Michelle Lynn Richardson

Michelle Lynn Richardson, 45, Palmyra, Mo., passed away at 2:48 p.m., Monday, July 4, 2022, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

Michelle was born on April 15, 1977, in Quincy, to Clint & Linda Obert Reeves.

Survivors include her children, Maria Ward (Brennin), Palmyra; Cody Richardson (Lexy), Canton, Mo.; Matthew Richardson, Palmyra; Isaac Richardson, LaGrange, Mo.; Isabell Richardson, Palmyra; and Jenna Richardson, Palmyra; brothers, Kent Reeves (Jennifer), Kevin Reeves (Danielle), and Michael Reeves (Elisa); sister, Amanda Reeves; and grandchildren, Braysen Ward, Emmalyne Ward and Georgia Richardson.

Michelle was preceded in death by her grandfather, Edward Obert Jr.; and grandparents, Clarence and Stella Reeves.

For many years Michelle has given her time to the care and service of others, both in their homes and at The Good Samaritan Home where she worked. She was a strong and courageous woman who recently went back to school to earn her LPN degree. 

Her children were her world, and Michelle dedicated her life to be the best mom and grandmother for her family. She was their biggest cheerleader and always proud of their accomplishments. Recently she drove the family down to the Gulf Shores to play on the beach, and loved to tell her grandchildren stories. 

Michelle loved country music, especially Reba songs, as they spoke to her heart. She was fond of her flowers and enjoyed planting sunflowers, lilies and wave petunia’s in her yard.

 A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palmyra. Father Gerald Kaiman will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph cemetery in Palmyra.

Pallbearers will be Kent Reeves, Kevin Reeves, Michael Reeves, Cody Richardson, Matthew Richardson, Isaac Richardson and Brennin Ward.

 A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, July 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Memorials may be made to her children’s education fund.
