Norfolk-Smith VFW Post 11041, in Palmyra, is asking the public to help with a new fundraising campaign.
In a letter distributed around the area, the post is seeking donations to help fund needed repairs to the VFW Hall roof and upstairs windows.
“With these funds, our organization will be able to continue using our current building,” states the letter signed by Gene Ash, post commander and service officer and Ken Brummett, quartermasater.
“Our building allows us to serve our veterans with helping them get benefits they have earned, camaraderie and a place to share their military memorabilia with the public.
“We hold many articles of history from local heroes that help our community remember those who sacrificed so much for this nation.
“With your help towards reaching our goal of $31,845, we will be able to continue providing a safe facility for our veterans and community.”
For more information or to donate, call Ash at 563-260-0915 or Brummett at 573-822-6924.
