The PHS girls golf team tied for eighth place out of 15 teams at the Kirksville Tournament last Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers shot a 450 to finish in a three-way tie with Macon and South Harrison.
Quincy Notre Dame took top honors with a 349, 27 strokes better than the second-place host team.
Ella Goldinger led Palmyra with a 101 and was followed by Candra King, 108, Ava Weiman, 115, and Kaylee Warning, 126.
Also competing were Hannibal, 391, Fulton, 411, Brookfield, 422, Southern Boone 423, Marceline, 431, Kirksville JV, 465, Putnam County, 483, Mexico, 543, Canton, 548, and LaPlata, 618.
The Lady Panthers are preparing for Class 2, District 2 competition at Moberly’s Heritage Hills Golf Course Monday, Oct. 10.
Also competing in the district are Blair Oaks, California, Centralia, Eldon, Fulton, Hallsville, Kirksville, Macon, Mexico, Moberly, Osage, Southern Boone and Versailles.
The Class 2 State Tournament will be held Oct. 17-18 at Boliver’s Silo Ridge Golf & Country Club.
