Annalynn Marie Knochel

Annalynn Marie Knochel, 31, Palmyra, Mo., went home to be with Jesus Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at John Stroger Jr. Hospital in Chicago, Ill.

Annalynn was born Sept. 25, 1991, in Quincy, Ill., and was lovingly brought into the home of her forever parents, Eric and Penny Sutter Knochel.

Survivors include her parents Eric and Penny Knochel, Palmyra; biological mother, Leann Lewis; biological grandparents, Mickey and Carol Lewis; grandmother, Lois Sutter; brothers, Ben Knochel (Molly), Joe Knochel (Lindsey) and Rick Knochel (Karyl), Michael Lewis and Andrew Lewis; sister, Debra Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Annalynn was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Sutter and Al and Evelyn Knochel.

Annalynn was a very special woman who was cherished by all those who knew her. She had an amazing zest for life and love for the Lord. 

She relished every opportunity to talk to people about Jesus and share His love with them.Annalynn’s outgoing personality and joyful nature allowed her to share her faith with others in her Bible study group. 

Her singing voice was an amazing gift that she loved to share with the world. She was asked to sing the National Anthem at the Special Olympic Games and knew the song by heart. During the games, she would compete in the softball throw, bowling and walker races, often bringing home medals.  

Annalynn had many hobbies to keep her busy, often crocheting, reading and making new friends whenever possible.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation and life celebration being held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, at the Apostolic Christian Church of Taylor, Mo.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church. Ministers of the church will officiate. Burial to follow at the Apostolic Cemetery in Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Ben Knochel, Joe Knochel, Rick Knochel, Michael Lewis, Andrew Lewis and Sam Knochel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Knochel, Zoe Knochel, Jack Knochel, Adaline Knochel, Callen Knochel, Mark Knochel, Arabella Knochel, Brynn Knochel, Huck Knochel, Charlie Lewis and Ja’Tayvion Thomas.

Memorials may be made to the Palmyra Food Pantry or Apostolic Christian Lifepoints in Morton, Ill.
