John August Robertson Jr

John August Robertson Jr, 79, Huntsville, Mo., passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at Moberly Regional Medical Center. 

John was born March 26, 1943, in Palmyra, Mo., to John A. Robertson Sr. and Anna R. Maddox. 

Survivors include his brother, Henry Robertson; children, Johnny Robertson, Winchester, Ky. and Terry Robertson, Palmyra; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. 

John was preceded in death by his daughter, Maggie Samp. 

He attended St. Joseph School from third through eighth grade, and was a graduate of the Class of 1961 in Monroe City, Mo. John lived in the Randolph County area for the last 25 years. 

He worked for CW Auto Sales for much of that time. He loved his job and the family he worked for. 

An avid outdoorsman, John enjoyed shooting, hunting, fishing and spending time in the woods. 

John’s funeral was a direct cremation with a celebration of life to be held on Nov. 5 at noon at 266 Route JJ, Huntsville, Mo.
